It Always Feels Farther
By Emily Peters Directed by Megan Weaver Friday, July 29, 8PM Absence makes the heart grow fonder…maybe. Three different relationships respond to the many forms of distance in their lives. Sprinkled with letters from the past and a modern day chorus, It Always Feels Farther reveals the things we learn about ourselves and the ones we care about when distance is a part of the equation. |
Cause of Failure
By Megan Weaver Directed by Leta Tremblay Saturday, July 30, 8PM How do you navigate life with death around the corner? Cause of Failure explores the shifting emotional and physical terrain of terminal illness. Beset by a magical chorus and one wily, weakened heart, two women must come to terms with their relationship with sickness, and with each other. |
Communal Spaces
Megan is performing in Tommy Smith’s Lotus Eaters, going up June 24th at 6pm, and June 25th and 26th at 3pm and 6pm at La Perla Garden on West 105th street between Columbus Ave and Manhattan Ave. Based on the Greek myth, this play explores the longing for human connection and the feeble grasp of memory over time. Staged site-specifically by director Lillian Meredith, this piece transforms the garden into an eerily lulling oasis. Featuring a cappella music arranged and directed by Megan Weaver.
