Megan Weaver is a director specializing in devised, multimedia and site-specific theater.  She facilitates rigorous collaborations with cross-disciplinary ensembles, integrating film and digital media, mask and puppetry, live music, dance and found spaces to create vibrant original works and fresh takes on established plays.  She has been honored with two AriZoni Theatre Awards for Best Director, a KCACTF Meritorious Achievement Award and the Northern Trust/Virginia Piper Enrichment Award.  She is an alum of the O’Neill Theater Center’s National Theater Institute, and has trained with The Wooster Group, SITI Company, Sojourn Theatre and Balerung Dance in Bali.  She served for two years as Artistic Director of Performance at Mystic Seaport, and was a founding member and Executive Artistic Director of FullStop Collective, a New York theater collaborative that developed and produced over two dozen new works in its nine year history.  Megan has taught directing and devising courses at the university level, and is an accomplished teaching artist of devising, acting and improv with New York City Public Schools. She holds a BA in Theatre from George Fox University and an MFA in Directing from Arizona State University. She lives in Austin, TX.
